Balance is something many of us struggle to find, whether it be between work and play in life or shine and dryness on our faces. We can’t give you an easy solution to the first issue, but when it comes to the latter, we’ve got you — well, Ole Henriksen does.

On Friday, the Danish skincare brand named after its creator launched an entire new line called Balance, specifically for individuals who struggle with oily or combination skin. The collection includes the Find Your Balance Oil Control Cleanser ($25) formulated with powerful AHAs—glycolic and lactic acids — to reduce excess oil, unclog pores, and prevent blemishes that come about as a result of those issues. The cleanser also has OleHenriksen’s Green Fusion Complex, which is a proprietary blend of potent active botanicals such as green tea, eucalyptus, algae, and Irish moss extracts that have natural antiseptic properties to help absorb excess oil. And, not for nothing, the eucalyptus scent is definitely refreshing when you start your day in the morning. You just might forget you’re in your shower and not a spa.

It’s recommended that cleansing be followed with the Balancing Force Oil Control Toner ($26) which has salicylic, glycolic, and lactic acids to remove excess oil and clarify skin without drying it out. If you have combination skin, you don’t have to use the toner all over, only apply it to your T-zone or other oily areas.

There are two options for moisturizers in this line. The first is the Counter Balance Oil Control Hydrator ($34), a lightweight mattifying cream that’s also formulated with potent botanicals, AHAs, and the Green Fusion Complex, that keep pores clear and skin matte and moisturized. As a bonus, the hydrator also improves foundation wear for up to eight hours so you can kiss runny makeup goodbye and say hello to a healthy, hydrated glow.

If you have combination skin and need greater moisture in your dry areas, opt for the Counter Balance™ Mattifying Moisture Crème ($40), a thicker moisturizer that also absorbs oil and mattifies while hydrating skin with aloe and vitamins A, C, D, and E.

All products can be used in both the morning and night and there’s no wait time to see results. The mattifying effects of the cleanser, toner, and moisturizers can be seen instantly. You can also take comfort in the fact that Ole Henriksen created this line due to his own struggles with oily skin and cystic acne, so he knows what you’re going through.

“There is no doubt that when you see skin erupted, you panic, you get frustrated, and you are hard on yourself,” he said in an interview with Refinery 29. “You tend to get impatient and expect results overnight, but you need to see the beauty in your face and recognize the healing and transformative powers of skin — then make a commitment to change.”
