Earlier this week, we reported that Megyn Kelly would be taking over the “Today” show time slot, formerly held by Al Roker and Tamron Hall. When a source from NBC spoke of the change, they reported that while Tamron would only appear on the “Today” show sporadically, she would maintain her own political talk show on MSNBC.

But that won’t be the case. Today, NBC released a statement saying that Tamron Hall is leaving both networks.
"Tamron is an exceptional journalist, we valued and enjoyed her work at Today and MSNBC and hoped that she would decide to stay," NBC News said in a statement. "We are disappointed that she has chosen to leave, but we wish her all the best."
Her last day on both networks was Tuesday as her contract expires in February.
In a statement of her own, Hall said, “The last 10 years have been beyond anything I could have imagined, and I’m grateful. I’m also very excited about the next chapter. To all my great colleagues, I will miss you and I will be rooting for you.”
Before hosting her shows in New York, Hall came from the NBC Chicago affiliate. Hall joined the national branch 10 years ago in 2007. She co-hosted “The Big Picture” before she got to host two of her own shows, “NewsNation With Tamron Hall” and “Deadline Crime With Tamron Hall.”
Her tenure with the “Today” show started in 2014. During that time she won an Edward R. Murrow Award and an Emmy in 2010 for her part in NBC News’ inauguration coverage.
We're interested to see what's next for her.
